The prolific garage rocker Ty Segall is back and on form with a new album Emotional Mugger.  He’s brought in his previous collaborator the filmmaker Matt Yoka for some gory dytopian visuals that fit hand in glove with Segall’s sound.  Yoka’s promo for Thank God For the Sinners saw a mass of naked bodies forming moving patterns around Segall’s white painted face until the end of the song when his tongue is cut out by a group of anonymous hands.  Well, if that’s up your street Emotional Mugger has plenty more to offer at 14 minutes long with cuts from the new album, beautiful shots of LA and some not so pleasant encounters along the way.  Yeah, I’d call this Segallesque.
